Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick

Recently I had the opportunity to try out three shades from the new BITE Beauty Amuse Bouche lipstick line. This is my first time trying out any offerings from BITE Beauty, the Amuse Bouche line is a collection of moisturizing and creamy lipsticks. After purging my personal makeup collection of non-cruelty free makeup I was not left with any traditional bullet lipsticks. I really prefer the now seemingly old fashioned lipstick bullet. Easy to apply and reapply and this formula wears so comfortably on the lips, as you will see in my swatches below it does not sink into the fine lines and creases of my lips like so many other lip colors have in the past for me.

Because the Amuse Bouche lip colors are perfectly blended they cover the lips in such thin layers that it does not separate and spread on my lips, I have worn others with such chunky textures that as I wear them with talking and time passing the lipstick will shift and more on my lips leaving uneven texture and coverage. I had no such problem with the BITE Beauty Amuse Bouche lipsticks.

L-R Gazpacho, Pepper, Beetroot

Gazpacho

A true blue-based red.

I love this color, I do not think its possible to own too many red and blue-reds are an old favorite of mine and this color reminds me of a better version of an old favorite of mine. This is my favorite of the the three I was sent.

Pepper

A dusty rose.

While it’s described as being a dusty rose, on my skin it shows more of a violet tone and reminds me of the OCC lip tar in Lydia which is actually one of my favorite colors so now I have it in lipstick form. I have seen it swatched on white skin and it does have more of a dusty rose tone and looks deeper. So depending on your skin tone the shade will wear differently.

Beetroot

A bold berry.

I wasnt sure how I would feel about Beetroot but I actually love it, it doesnt come out as dark as I first feared and is a gorgeously rich berry shade that is so easy to wear. Its falls in the land of being a statement lip without being shockingly bright, I feel like a lot of brand release all these bright and neon colors which are fun but personally thats just not compatible with what Im comfortable wearing on a regular basis. I feel like the shades BITE has created are effortlessly chic and made for everyone.

Application

I swatched these on naked lips with no lip liner, I applied straight from the bullet and smoothed out the edges with a lip brush and as you can see the edges did not feather in the slightest. I did not use any congealer to crisp up the lines at all.

Pigmentation

The pigmentation of the BITE Beauty Amuse Bouche lipsticks is really great. I have a lot of uneven pigmentation naturally so it is important to me to find full coverage from my lip colors to attain an even lip color. I normally use different lip liners underneath to achieve this but I wanted to see how these looked with nothing underneath and I am blown away how evenly they covered my lips with no effort at all from me. If you also suffer from this problem and find yourself having to put many layers of lipstick on or have a detailed lip prep routine just to apply your lip color I highly recommend trying out these lipsticks.
