SHEA MOISTURE RAW SHEA BUTTER DEEP TREATMENT MASQUE RAVE REVIEW | HAIR
Today I wanted to share with you one of my favorite curly hair care products. Little background on my hair in the past year it has been colored about three times maybe, with one of those being a full bleaching...meaning my hair is for sure very dry and fragile.
Because I knew all the processing would be very harsh on my hair I wanted to find something that would help protect my hair, keep it manageable and hydrated. I've colored it like this before and I wanted to prevent what had happened in the past. Me having a head full of split ends, constant breakage and my hair being in just all around bad condition.
I didn't do much research on it but I had heard some good things about shea moisture and just decided to pick it up. BEST decision ever! This stuff is absolutely amazing. In the picture above you can see how after (bottom) the deep treatment masque my puffy curly hair is depuffed. The texture is very thick and buttery, on the packaged it suggested adding Olive Oil for added nutrients and moisture to the masque and thats exactly what I do. It makes it so much easier to brush through and style. Absolutely love this stuff you can see I'm almost done with it and I definitely plan to repurchase. I use this in my hair every wash day which happens about once a week. It's so important to deep condition curly hair every wash.
When I apply this to my hair I apply to four to six section generously and brush it through with a paddle brush or wide tooth comb and twist each section. I then mist my hair with water, cover my head with a plastic cap, layer my bonnet over top and let it sit overnight.
The Shea Moisture deep treatment masque comes in a 12oz tub it has lasted me over 4 months of weekly use and I apply it very generously! It's price can vary depending on where you buy it from but I think most of the prices are reasonable because I haven't seen it over USD $13.00 and it's just a must have for me.
