As I've recently went vegan I've really gotten into the magic of making my food really work for me not only for my inner health but for my vanity as well. Raw juice is my favorite and the easiest way to do this.
Our skin is a living organ and we should listen to it, forgive the pun but skin issues and concerns are more than skin deep. While the use of toxic and irritating topical treatments can react havoc on our skin so can a diet lacking in basic nutrition. Rotating a raw juice into your diet just once a week is a great start to clear glowing skin.
Here is what's in my Favorite Green for Beauty Juice:
1 Cup of Spinach
1/4 Cup of Kale
1 Cup of Oranges (2 Small or 1 Medium)
1 Apple (Medium)
1 Small Cube of Raw Ginger
After I put in all the fruit and veg into my blender I fill it up halfway with water and ice. I prefer my raw juice from a blender one because I prefer the texture and two because it retains all of the natural fiber. You can use raw or frozen veggies.
This juice is amazing, it's a great way to start your morning or week. Kale is a powerhouse veg, extremely detoxifying and full of vitamins. This is one of my favorite juices to go to when I feel like my skin is congested and I notice a huge difference the next day. Spinach and Orange provide a great boost of Vitamin C which is necessary to build and maintain collagen production in the skin and hair.
