Green Smokey Eye with The Korean Lip

Glam of the Sea Witch

Deep Sea Eyes with a Kiss of Poison

Sporting a frosty green highlight courtesy of Ashley aka @SultrySuburbia on Instagram. She was kind enough to send out three of the shades in her upcoming line of highlighters, some with creative undertones such as this unnamed shade as well as more natural tones. The highlighters are so smooth and shiny I absolutely love them. Wearing a green highlighter is much easier than it sounds and I actually like the way it looks on the skin I even put some on my temples. It really blends like a dream, I almost added a green eyeshadow on for a blush/contour then stopped myself and I am glad I did! Though I should have still tried it after I got some shots of the look as you see it now but I was tired and just wanted to wash my face and lay down! I came down with Strep throat this past Wednesday and have been feeling all sorts of sick, mercifully after two doctor visits I am on the mend.

Now about this lip, I have seen the 'Korean Lip' for years now but never tried it myself for some reason and I thought it would look really cool with this green smokey eye makeup look. To achieve it I started with my bare lips no foundation or concealer on them and went in with OCC's lip tar in Stalker with a small fluffy eyeshadow brush and applied it on the very center of the lips and then blended it out and just repeated that several times, each time blending out smaller and smaller area of my lip. After I felt I got as much gradient from the lip tar I went in with OCC's lip balm duo in Tarred and patted that over the very center to make it deeper in color. Next up I use OCC's skin conceal in Y3 with my finger and tapped that on the edges of my lip line and lightly blended it into the red. To finish the lip off I added and nude lip gloss to the highest and lowest parts of my lip and left the center bare of the gloss.

I'm sure all of you are aware that Halloween 2015 is on its way, and while I did not have a particular plan in mind when I was applying this makeup I think it could definitely work for a Poison Ivy/Wicked Witch costume for those like me who can't sit and do those SFX looks that take hours to apply. This is something that is both cute and dramatic enough for a character.
