Marie Antoinette Inspired Makeup

Todays makeup share almost wasn't. Somedays I have such a struggle organizing myself enough to be able to externalize the pictures in my mind to share with you all. This was the third makeup look I attempted. What was wrong with the others? They just didn't feel right, the color palette felt repetitive and the design very overdone, uninspired. It is a challenge to edit myself during the process of applying my makeup and it is something I plan on working to improve on. With some of my recent looks I've forgotten less is more, and as a result when I look back on them I find that many of my looks are unbalanced and appear to be unfinished.

Upon editing the photos for this post I felt reminiscent of Maria Coppola's Marie Antoinette with Kirsten Dunst. The blues of her dress, pinks of her cheeks and the gilded trim of her carriage.  Overall I'm quite happy with the finish of this look. I am obsessed with blush so far I just have the one palette from ELF that I've put in rotation but I can't wait to expand my blush collection. I also dabbled back into customizing lashes, I used to do it quite often but then fell out of it. Currently my lash stash is bare bones but I hope to replinish it soon and get to cutting and pasting for some more fun lashes.
