Uma oils create Ayurvedic, handcrafted, organic luxury beauty oils for hair, skin, and aroma wellness. Recently I was able to try out their Ultimate Brightening Facial Oil as well as samples of their Beauty Boosting Day Facial Oil, and Pure Calm Wellness Oil.
From Uma Oils
This triple-action brightening blend is rich in sandalwood and rose essential oils, which deliver rich hydration for a more luminous complexion, and is especially effective for those with dry skin. Vitamin-rich orange and neroli essential oils, along with rejuvenating frankincense essential oil, stimulate rapid cellular turnover to regenerate damaged skin cells, diminish visible signs of fatigue, and even out skin tone – for visibly radiant skin. This blend is formulated in a pomegranate oil base, to speed up absorption and ensure active ingredients rapidly penetrate the epidermis.
Ingredients: Rose Essential Oil, Neroli Essential Oil, Sandalwood Essential Oil, Lavender Essential Oil, Frankincense Essential Oil, Ylang Ylang Essential Oil, Geranium Essential Oil, Orange Essential Oil and Clary Sage Essential Oil in a Pomegranate oil base.
I was sold hook, line and sinker with the description of the Uma Facial Brightening Oil, it sounded like everything I could need or want in a facial oil and more. I have normal to dry sensitive skin and when I see the promise of providing ‘rich hydration’ I am on board. Along with its beautifying properties all of Uma Oils products are completely Cruelty-Free, Organic, Vegan, free from synthetic fragrances and emulsifiers, parabens and preservatives, mineral oils and GMOs.
You can use this oil both morning and night, applying it on its own or as the last step in your moisturizing routine. I have tried it both ways and I personally prefer using this after I apply my moisture serums to lock in the moisture. I can honestly say I’ve never used a facial oil as light weight as this one, it sinks into the skin almost instantly. You can wear it alone or in conjunction with other oils. During the day I have been adding two drops from my sample of the Beauty Boosting Facial Oil to the Ultimate Brightening Oil and in the evening I’ve been adding in some drops of Organic Argan Oil.
If you’ve read some of my previous skincare reviews you might remember I always mention that after nearly a decade of acne I was left with hyperpigmentation and overall my skintone hasn’t been even since I was child. So far I thought the only thing that would ever help my even the tone of my skin was chemical exfoliation; I never expected a facial oil to actually make a difference in improving my skintone, but I really love this stuff. My skin looks…radiant, I’ve never thought that of my skin while not wearing makeup, EVER. I am not going to boast a complete complexion makeover after only a couple weeks of use, however as someone who gives her skin a detailed examination regularly (yes I have a problem) I notice the changes in the overall tone of my skin after two weeks of everyday use. I am so happy to have this oil in my skincare regimen and am eager to continue its use to see some even bigger results.
Lastly I do want to talk about the Pure Calmness Wellness oil, I have not ever talked about aromatherapy on the blog before but I am actually a big fan of its use and think it can be a very enriching addition to your self-care routines. I usually go for more peppermint based/energizing oils so this was definitely a new experience for me. It really came in handy because as the end of the semester approaches stress is high to complete final projects and sleep has not been plentiful, so before bed to insure a restful sleep I’ve been placing this oil behind both ears and on both my wrist taking a few deep breaths before laying down to bed and it’s really helped me slip off to sleep not long after my head hits the pillow and not experience any tossing and turning during the night.
I am so pleased with my Uma Oils experience and if you’ve heard anything during this review that you’d like to know more about be sure to go to their shop that I've linked to below to explore their full range of oils.
